Tlv-fra?

Any recent reports on TLV-FRA? I am flying this route on Dec. 31st.
The old .pdf file on lufthansa.com mentioned that it was going to stop being new business class in October, but the new file says it is still available.

LH691: ex-Sabena 332, Sabena C, no F
LH687: old C 744, I'd upgrade to F as it still looks rather empty there

On that day LH flies to TLV with the 332, no new C class or internet...

You can simply check @ lh.com what planes come to TLV on each day, and see if you'll have new c and internet (morning flight), for the evening, you'll have to get the seat map (expert flyer or w/e)...

LH will replace the 332/333 on March with the 346 (due to the seat limit lift in Israel), so the daily flights will be 346 and 744. looking forward to that.

Fra-sfo

Does anyone know if FRA-SFO is new C this winter? I need to fly in Feb and then back to FRA early March from MIA.

I don't think MIA has the new C.

I may just go UA as I think they still give the 32Kg x3 luggage allowance.

Thanks for the help,

Shofar

hi shofar,

the dates i checked in feb all show a 747 with old C on the FRA-SFO leg... i myself fly back from MIA to FRA on feb 27th and its unfortunaly old C as well...

below is united's new baggage policy...

New policy applies for travel purchased on or after September 7, 2005.

United Airlines will modify its free checked-bags policy for international travel, to reflect new weight limits of 50 lbs. (23 kg) each for up to two pieces.

United First or Business Class customers: Two pieces of free checked baggage up to a maximum weight of 70 lbs. (32 kg) each; maximum linear dimensions: 62 inches (157 cm) each

United 1K Premier Executive, Premier Executive and Star Alliance Gold members: Three pieces of free checked baggage up to a maximum weight of 70 lbs. (32 kg) each; maximum linear dimensions: 62 inches (157 cm) each

...but than again its the same with LH C and SEN

cheers

Thanks for the information sentom.

Where did you find this out? Can you please post the link?

I though LH had lowered its luggage allowance to 23Kg and gave C, F and SEN one extra bag at 23Kg.

Yep, LH lowered it to be in line again, AFTER most U.S. carriers lowered it.

LH is subbing an A333 on the FRA-IAH route on the first and second. Will it have Flynet?

I was on that flight twice since Nov 1 (Winter schedule) and there was no new C available. But I remember on 12/02 having at least FlyNet on board on the SFO-FRA track (Which may have been a single turnaround only).

As a LH SEN you are *A Gold. As far as I know, each *A carrier always allows for 3 pieces of luggage for a *A Gold member.

MIA doesn't have the new C so far. Since this is mainly a flight for vacationers (including a lot of award seats in C the entire year) I would assume, this is one of the last candidates for the new C. Remember, this was even the last route with the old 747-200 in late 2001 and 2002.

Good advice to double check. That .pdf is not totally accurate, as we have determined with the above TLV example.

Basiclly TLV is there for the morning flight, in 4 days of the week when the 333 is operated, and soon when the 346 will be operated daily.
