I was able to use the new F Terminal before my FRA - CPT flight on christmas eve. Just very few people in it, 8 - service attendants outnumbered guest. Utmost quality food, drinks and service - better than on the plane in First Class. Best airline ground service in the world. Excellent design, will buy the dining table seats soon, if I can get them, because I really found them comfortable with the reclining backrest.

Forgive my confusion but the new F lounge (in the F terminal) is different to the Senator lounge, right? Nobody has mentioned the terminal to plane car service, any reports?

The new F lounges (in the A schengen area, and B Non-schengen area) are both different and much much superior to the SEN lounges. The A gates area F lounge is much bigger than the one in the B gates. Having used both these F lounges, I can honestly say that the level of services, food & beverage offerings, staff attitude, rest-rooms, showers etc are on par, if not superior to, any and every other airline lounge I have come across.

Lots of interesting first-hand information from tcswede and others in this interesting long thread including:

Driven to the gate – and escorted through an elevator directly into the finger and down to the door of the airplane.

Was greeted by the Purser, who offered a service level I have not seen yet on intra Europe flights.
Hope this helps,
cheers

as many family as you want and one non-family companion.
the one non-familiy companion rule is strictly enforced.

As far as I know LH "improved" the rules again. Now they say, you can only bring in a guest if he is on the SAME flight as you, travelling in F. There is nothing like this written on the website, but this is what you get told in the F Terminal and also on the SEN- and HON-Line.

I took a friend with me who traveled in Y while I was in C, same flight. Difference in booking class doesn't matter as long as you're on the same flight.

If the person is in F, then they are entitled to use the First Terminal on their own rights. So, are they really saying NO guests allowed?

If I have a F-class ticket and bring my friend (travelling economy on same flight) into the terminal, does he also get the "ride" to the plane with porsche or daimler?

No they make him go back out of the F terminal, re-clear security where everyone else does and board in the usual manner Sorry, legitimate question, I know. Perhaps there's a Trabant on stand-by for Y pax who've been invited as guests?
