Angry Downgraded by the system: LH F Ticket with UA check-in
I am booked to fly from PHX to LAX and LAX to FRA. Booked through LH.com on LH ticket stock.

That is how the booking confirmation looks like:

Check-In on LH.com forward me to UA and after check-in I get a boarding pass that shows for LAX-FRA business and seat 82k.

Called the Senator Hotline, who said they cant do anything, and I should talk to LH in LAX, but it is most likely a technical issue and I will get my seat in first.

Anyone ever experienced something like this ? How are my chances to actually get my seat in F ?

Maybe try calling the First Class hotline?
What does your itinerary show on LH.com?

FWIW, that flight is currently showing as sold out in first class on ExpertFlyer, and 2K is showing as available but blocked (the other 7 seats are occupied). Maybe you're safe? Definitely a bit odd...

I called the Senator Hotline - is there a special on for First Class ?

Yes, its weird, both of my seats (2k and 82k) show blocked on ExpertFlyer ... that gives me hope.

So weird - my itinerary still shows first:

Flight duration 10 hours and 40 minutes

BOEING 747-8
First Class

But the seat assignment shows 82k, but in FIRST red ... :

Yes, you should be able to find it via search...
It's definitely easier to find than the LX First Class hotline.
It's a German number, so Skype will come in handy.

Maybe 2K is inop? Pending downgrade? Ugh.

I would call the F hotline ASAP to get this sorted out. Nothing UA can do here ... seat changed on the LH side.

Tried now to call multiple times, but after the usual disclaimer, there is a ringtone and then just straight out silence … 🤷

Are you trying the US# or the one in Germany? The one in Germany works better IME.
If you call late evening from PHX is should be early a.m. in Germany

I tried US first, but they are only available Mo-Fr 9am-6pm EST.

The German one is the one not working for me; I tried cellular, wifi, Skype - same result …

Just spoke to the F-Hotline, and they said that there is nothing they can do (didnt even want to look into the ticket), and it would need to be discussed at the airport. Very disappointing!

That is a poor response from the F hotline & unusual, they should have looked into it & offered alternatives if you have been downgraded, i would call them back & ask for a Supervisor, the flight is under airport control now but as time goes by alternatives will diminish.

It does show blocked now...so this is a very real possibility.
