Paid Advanced Seat Reservation impact Upgrade?
Hello:
I'm booked on a transatlantic flight on LH in a few weeks time. Booked in Premium Economy.
LH doesn't offer free advance seating reservations on this. If I want to book a seat in advance it will cost me $55 USD.
I'm trying to upgrade this flight with miles to Buisness Class and am on the waitlist. My question is, will my upgrade changes be negatively impacted if I pay for this advanced seat assignment?
My instinct says "no." But then again, sometimes LH can have weird rules. I could imagine them saying something like "we couldn't upgrade you because you paid for an Economy Plus seat."

No issues with the ASR payment, its accounted for in a different way, the attached EMD will not hinder your upgrade.
