LH Now TSA PREcheck Eligible

Sorry if this is a repeat, didn't see a thread.

Anyway, surprised to see TSA PRE on my LH BP IAD-FRA this evening:

Turns out it's brand new today. Only works at counter or terminal machine, not on emailed or home-printed BPs: https://www.tsa.gov/news/releases/2016/08/31/tsa-partners-lufthansa-offer-tsa-precheck-0

Did you have your trusted traveller number associated with your booking?

Yes, via my UAMP#. It was a UA ticket on LH metal. That said, my wife who checked in online was surprised to see her trusted traveler number in a field when she checked in on LH website. But since she did that she got no PRE on her BP. Hence my investigation and the press release I found linked in the OP.

Presumably eventually online and emailed BPs will get the designation too...?

Looked at M&M account and I do not see any place for KTN. Does anyone know if there is a place to insert?

It should be on the personal profile section in your M&M account (based on my experiences with other airlines). I was on LH F MUC-SFO (on an AC ticket) and when I did my OLCI, it appeared, likely because my GE info is stored in my profile and such. Or, I may have entered it at OLCI. But it was great even if ex-MUC had no TSA Pre line or screening at the time.

Also, check LH's API page "Visa and immigration data" and see if there is the option there.

Again, yes, this was my wife's experience. Or better, provide it at checkin at airport so it actually prints on BP. For now.

You can also enter it together with the rest of the APIS data straight after finishing the booking; the app also stores it together with passport number, visa etc

Very exciting!

Does this apply to other LH group carriers like LX and OS as well?

Thanks, found it on the app to "save." Never found it on the web site to store. Has to be hidden someplace.

It's under the visa information for each booking.

As I mentioned upthread, it's on the LH APIS form/page

Exact wording as shown below
-----

For flights to the USA, airlines are legally obliged to transmit passenger data to the US authorities via the Advance Passenger Information System (APIS). This rule does not apply to passengers with a permanent resident permit (‘green card’) or to transit passengers. You can enter your APIS data below.

If you hold a visa for the country of your destination please also enter the information below.

Visa and immigration data (APIS)

Passenger 1 (Adult):

Personal details

First name

Middle Name Optional 􏰀

Last name

Gender

Date of Birth

Person has a redress code or known traveller number Optional
