FCO Security Fast Track for *G

I was able to access the FCO T3 Security Fast Track flying LH flying economy by showing a UAMP *G card and politely asking if "is Star Gold OK?". I did not have a specific invitation to do so, but it worked. Wondering if this is the standard or just a lucky day at the races...
