The LH F [first class destination] Compendium

As LH has been cutting F service on some routes and as other routes have only seasonal F availability, I think it is useful to compile a list with all LH F destinations worldwide, together with a description and pros/cons of every route. All aspects of the flight are of interest, ie duration, day/night flight, food selection, type of plane, lounges, award availability, etc

Thanks for sharing your LH F experiences.

Thanks fanb, this is the quantitative aspect. What I'm at least as interested in is the qualitative aspect. Some routes are very well documented on FT, but others much less so.

Apparently DUS-EWR in F is missing on LH site. Only available during winter schedule.

Why would there be only a seasonal demand for F on that sector?

Perhaps a sticky/wiki post would be best for this?

Only LH knows that. And there was not much announcement for the revival of F on that route.

Lufthansa first class - routes

Hi, I searched but was unable to find. I thought probably someone has the info easily available. Thx in advance

I want to burn some points in the next 9 months. I'm mostly interested in routes from North America to Europe. Would anyone have a list of all the routes presently available, as well as when they may be ending?

I believe first class is slowly going away.

Many thanks for your help.

SWISS(LX) has F on all their routes. So this an easy choice. But you need to have status SEN or HON to awards in O.

There aren't so many routes between North America and Europe. You could it find out on the LH reservation site by yourself.

Please mind, if you want to use AC miles, LH F awards would open up only T-14, if available.

I find ORD to have always best availability in F award spaces especially during summer season when LH operates two 748i flights per day to FRA and one A346 flight to MUC.

I wasn't able to locate a list on Lufthansa website. I posted the question to see if anyone may have one. Just trying to simplify my search.

Yes, I use about 1.4 million aeroplan for this, I'm aware of the 14 day release. Not ideal, but I can manage it during some times of the year.

I'm not convinced something like this actually exists...

The LH F cabin will remain on B748 and A380 aircraft. B744, A343, and A359 will not have an F cabin. Half the A330 fleet is being retrofitted to remove the F cabin and the A346 will have the F cabin, but are retired as the A359 fleet is put into service 2017-19.

The routes flown by the A380 are here: http://a380.lufthansa.com/

The routes flown by the B748 are here: http://747-8.lufthansa.com/
