Last year a friend had swapped award for status miles under the 2:1 offer given at 75k+. When he complained after the 10k strike status miless credit, they gave him his award miles back.
I seriously doubt anyone looks as intensely on their accounts at the end of the year as we do. So maybe 10% of the membership noticed and said or

Hello Fellow Travels,
Newbie here, so please be patient with me.
I am currently LH FTL, trying for the first time to achieve Senator. By year end, I should have around 92k Status Miles with 79k Select Miles.
So, when LH made this 30/10/3 offer last year, did they give 10k status miles only to existing Senators, or anyone close to being Senator (>90k status miles)?
Did the offer increase only Status Miles, or Status/Select Miles?
I know nothing is announced this year from LH, but based on high strikes, I expect the same offer this year.
Thanks in advance. Your responses help me decide if I should schedule a MR before YE.
Dave

Last year it was 3k for FTL.
While I guess these status miles were useless for the majority of people last year (including me), surprisingly they would be very useful for me this year! My plan is to wait until 20th December (which was around the time they were added last year) and see if the same happens this year. If not, my plan B is to go somewhere between Christmas and New Year.

Okay, I am checking MR options, and have an interesting question.
I know for flights you MUST fly to get the miles. But what if the 'flight' is operated by Deutsche Bahn? The following booking, for example, will generate 1000 status miles. But, as it is operated by DB, does LH have any record if I took the train or not?
LH3404:
08:53 Frankfurt International (FRA), Terminal TN
10:08 Hbf Railway Station (ZWS), Terminal
Operated by: "Deutsche Bahn AG"
Inter-City Express
Duration: 1h 15min

I think that on top of the special credit miles, those affected i.e. customers who had to cancel their travel plans or make alternate arrangements, should get some sort of discount vouchers or offer codes for future travel.
As for me, I have already qualified as SEN & heading into a dead year in 2016. I got lucky twice with the strikes. Now I'm already looking at EK or EY for my 2016 travel. So no business to LH from me till the issue is resolved. Some other promising compensation would have kept me with LH in 2016.

Status miles strike compensation [2015]
2014 saw LH giving status/Hon Circle miles compensation accredited to FTL, Sens and Hons.
With the action continuing in 2015, any plans or indications on the horizon for that to happen this year?
