I am on my way to HON and will most likely achieve it by beginning of next year. I might stretch a bit and do it by the end of this year as well since HON miles in 2013 were very few... What's best? If i get it this year when will it expire? And if i get it january 2015?

Thanks

If you hit HON this year, it will be valid until 02/2017 (rest of the year, + 2 years + 2 month until end of February)

If you want to hit HON next year, wait until March or April to pass the 600k. So you will get status until 02/2018.
Because if you reach 600k too early in 2015, they will only give you the status until 02/2017.

March 2015 would give you nearly 3 years of HON with the first qualification.
If however you can keep up this pace then it really doesnt't matter. In that case do it as quickly as possible to enjoy the perks as soon as possible.
