Lufthansa in summer 2017 season plans to expand Munich – Dublin operation, based on comparison with summer 2016. Between 27MAR17 and 28OCT17, the airline will operate up to 13 weekly flights, instead of 7-9 weekly in 2016. Note selected weeks will see frequency changes to minimum 9-10 weekly, based on seasonal demand.

Lufthansa in summer 2017 season plans to expand service offering to Croatia, as it schedules Frankfurt – Pula operation. Operated by CityLine CRJ900 aircraft, this route will see twice weekly operation from 28APR17.

Lufthansa in preliminary schedule filing for winter 2017/18 season adjusted planned service to Iran. From 29OCT17, the Star Alliance member is currently planning to add 4th weekly Munich – Tehran Imam Khomeini flight, while operational aircraft will switch to A340-600 only, instead of A330/340.

Lufthansa in this week’s schedule update made further adjustment to Munich – Tehran Imam Khomeini operation, effective from 26MAR17. Latest update sees the airline continues to maintain 3 weekly Airbus A330-300 operation, as planned A340-600 service on 2 of 3 weekly flights is removed, along with First Class service.

For winter 2017/18 schedule from 30OCT17, the airline also removed planned 4th weekly flight, briefly available for reservation for about a week. Previously planned all-A340-600 service is cancelled, switching back to A330-300.

Lufthansa ends Tokyo Narita service in Jan 2017

Lufthansa in recent schedule update has extended planned service cancellation for Frankfurt – Tokyo Narita route. Previously scheduled as seasonal cancellation from 09JAN17 to 25MAR17 (FRA departure), the airline has converted to permanent cancellation. Reservation for summer season, from 26MAR17 to 28OCT17, is no longer available.

Lufthansa in summer 2017 season plans to adjust operational aircraft for Frankfurt – Detroit route, which will be in effect from 02JUL17 to 29SEP17. During this period, Boeing 747-400 aircraft will operate on daily basis, replacing Airbus A340-300 aircraft.
