new pier A plus
Seems in about 20 days the new a plus pier in FRA will be opened. Anybody has seen any pics from the LH facilities i.e. the five lounges? Curious to see where they are located and how they look like.

Wonder how the A-plus gates will be utilised since there's no in-lounge boarding, so it'll be less attractive for passengers that the current A380 C gates, yet the pier was designed with the A380 in mind! I'm guessing mainly 747s and spill over A380s for now.
Would have loved to see those tri-airbridge gates designed to have the 3rd airbridge able to dock with door 4 on the 747s like in AMS. Would make boarding super speedy on the 346s!!

"Pier A-Plus will have seven positions for wide-body aircraft: four for the A380 and three for the A340-600. To ensure maximum flexibility, as an alternative, two smaller type A321 aircraft can also dock at each of the A380 positions. Consequently, up to a maximum of 11 aircraft can be simultaneously accessed directly from the terminal building. There will also be another three positions for remote parking."
"Each A380 position is connected to Pier A-Plus by three passenger bridges (one of which is for the aircraft's upper deck). Each A340-600 position has two passenger bridges."

It seems all current lounges in A (FCL, Tower, SEN & C) opposite A26 will close with the opening of the new lounge palace in the base of A+.
