Yeah, and i would also need two seats since buddy is coming, so i guess its an even bigger zero chance.

Why so low chance, is it often filled full by wealthy tourists ?

Hi All,

Flying ORD AMS on UA J in 2 weeks.

If I see *A/UA award availability for LH F ORD FRA/MUC AMS open up....would we get F lounge access on layover?

I suspect no as onward travel to AMS would be in J but wanted to check here.

Thanks!

Yes, you would get access to the FCL/FCT arriving in LH F and connecting on LH to AMS

Yes, inbound F BP gets you FCL / FCT access at FRA & MUC for the entire day of arrival

Thanks. Still access even if no onward travel on same PNR?

Will have to look up differences between FRA/MUC FCL, but sounds like if LH F arrival FCL access at FRA/MUC...and separate PNR for onward travel doesn't make a difference...this increases my options for award F a bit. I appreciate the info!

LH First has an 'arrival lounge' benefit. Even if your trip ends e.g. in FRA or MUC you can still go to the lounge, take a shower and eat breakfast. So whether you have an onwards ticket or not does not matter. The lounge will probably still want to see your onwards BP, but they grant access under your arrival F BP.

Yes, your inbound F BP is what gives you access, MUC FCL are much nicer, particularly Satellite, you can use the FCL with or without onward travel, only difference is they will not drive you to outside positions unless on same ticket, for same through ticket you can also FCT at FRA.

Excellent, thank you both!

Looks like for 03 April only F2 ORD FRA, F0 ORD MUC. Will keep an eye out for our return from AMS. I appreciate your insight!

Hi All,

I’m tired from work and just want to confirm.

I see award availability ticketed by UA ORD BOS MUC, BOS MUC on LH 380 F.

Cannot book continued leg to AMS on same PNR.

If I book that leg separately (approximately 3 hours after our arrival to MUC) we would still get full access to LH F lounge in MUC but NOT car service for onward separate PNR J leg to AMS…right?

Thanks all!

Yes, that is right & AMS does not usually have an outside position anyway, so not missing the Limousine service.

Thanks. Any big picture concern for LH strike this coming week?

Since this flight will be with P2, am trying to think of everything that could go wrong before I say "sorry dear, we are no longer on a non-stop" lol.

I appreciate the insight!
