Solana Beach
I will be making a trip to Solana Beach in early August with my daughter and her cousin, both 11 years old, and was thinking of renting a condo in one of the beachfront complexes.
Does anyone have any input regarding the 'feel' of these places?
I am looking at The Solana Beach and Tennis Club, Seascape Surf and one other which has Song in its name but I can't think of the rest of it right now.
I want to be oceanfront and the facility must have a good pool area for the kids.
I prefer upscale, premium-type units with nice landscaping etc.
Any information much appreciated.

I stayed at the HI Express in Solana Beach in fall of 06. Great beaches. All of the condos on the beach are behind gates, because the only way to get to the beach is on sidewalks that go between the different condos. Keep in mind you will have to walk up/down probably 50 stairs to get to the beach.

Thank you for your replies.
I had already checked out the Dave Stubbs website and had narrowed my search to the 3 complexes above. I nixed the Del Mar Beach Club, which was also a choice, because I read somewhere that the permanent residents give the weekly renters a hard time.
So, if anyone has stayed in these units, I'd like to hear about you experiences.
Thanks again.
