The Peninsula is a terrific property, walking distance to Beverly Hills downtown area. The BH Hotel bashers are IMHO a wee bit off base - it, too, is a great property, although being on Sunset removes it a bit from walkable activity - but the pool and tennis courts and grounds are great. You'll be more than fine at either.
