I saw this on TV this morning, but there was no sound, so all I saw was "Flight Delays at LAX," and I noticed that they were landing the other direction.
I'm glad I'm leaving this evening and not flying in, although it sounds like from news report that the delays aren't all that bad.

The ILS localizer on 25R, a type of radio beacon that assists a/c on final approach, failed "due to a computer system failure" (Press-Enterprise) and delayed a/c from 9 AM to 9 PM while the airport switched runway configurations (i.e. to land and take off to the east).
Hey guys, try and dig up 25L without digging into the wires for the 25R ILS localizer. Thank you.

Wow, you beat this tread by four minutes! Poor LAX: it has had troubles recently.
