dinner for one

I'm looking for some restaurant recommendations for West LA - to dine alone. I'm always on the road solo - and usually end up eating at the bar some place. I'm looking for an interesting high-end place that has solo seating [sounds depressing, I know.] or does a fairly big bar dining business - so it's not uncomfortable to sit by yourself. Any thoughts on A.O.C. or one of the other 'hipper' westside places?

Thanks

Go to 3rd Street Promenade and dine at a restaurant called BROADWAY DELI. It's got a great bar to eat your meal -- and who knows, you may run into celebrities there too, like I did.

I had dinner solo at the bar at AOC last year and had a great time. The food was very, very good, too.

The Brentwood Restaurant is a great place for solo diners. Lots of good-looking locals and the bar offers the full menu. Some notes from Zagat:http://www.zagat.com/Search/Details....7%27&RID=26377

In the interest of full disclosure, my son, David, is the Maitre'd/Manager. I have no financial interest. Just think it's a great spot. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Thanks for the suggestions. I've always wanted to try AOC - but the Brentwood sounds great too, based on what I've heard and read. I'll probably do both!
