Any particular cuisine(s) you had in mind?

There are some nice restaurants in the Old Town area. I like the Border Grill.

No particular cuisine, funky or special with good flavors of any type.

Any suggestions would be a great plus!

Well, Old Town is full of restaurants. I like the Cheesecake Factory, Cafe Bizou, and Yujean Kang's, as well as the Border Grill. Also good are Wok N Roll Sushi and Crocodile Cafe.

Outside of Old Town are some comfort food places like Roscoe's (Fried) Chicken and Waffles and the Hat (home of the Pastrami Dip).

I think Yujean Kang's is the best up-market Chinese restaurant in Southern Cal.

Another good choice for lunch is Burger Continental (Greek food).

Our office loves Smitty's on Lake. They have the best cornbread and sandwiches. Nice menu.
