Entering Lawry's VIP Rewards' third year, we are delighted that so many of our guests have chosen to enjoy the many benefits of membership. I want you to know how sincerely fortunate we feel to have so many loyal guests who are also good friends of Lawry's.
With Lawry's VIP we are continually working to offer additional benefits wherever we're able. Supporting the success of Lawry's VIP is a bit of a balancing act. The program has been a wonderful success thus far, but to keep Lawry's VIP strong, we must run it according to sound business practices and make sure it is fair to our company, coworkers, and guests.
Occasionally this will mean adjusting specific terms of the program, even as we add more of the benefits you've requested. This spring, we will do both. Due to the overwhelming popularity of the program on Saturdays and the record number of guests who visit us at that time, VIP certificates will not be valid on Saturdays beginning May 1, 2002. This includes Rewards, Birthday/Anniversary, and all other VIP certificates. All certificates will continue to be honored Sundays through Fridays, and certificates earned through April 30, 2002 will be good on Saturdays through their expiration dates. In an effort to avoid confusion, beginning in April, all certificates will state the terms of their use on the certificate face. Note that your rewards earnings remain unchanged, so you'll continue to earn VIP points each time you dine with us, including on Saturdays.
Having heard from many of you through our Lawry's VIP survey, we continue to take your comments and suggestions to heart. Due to the popularity of our double points programs, we will be offering a double points month twice in 2002 - first in April, and again in July! During both months, you'll receive double points for every dollar you spend for dinner on food and beverages Monday through Friday.

You like Lawry's, don't you? A co-worker that used to work in L.A. (where I spend a lot of time), as a member. We go to Lawry's requently on double point night. I think it was Monday. But he ahsn't worked on the account for a while, so I haven't had a a Lawry's fix in a long time.
