The Forum arena
I recently attended a concert at The Forum in Inglewood and it was awesome. The venue is amazing, and as a Los Angeles area staple I think it deserves a place here; especially if it helps anyone plan their trip
In 2014 this historic venue was renovated, and is now run by Live Nation. I was lucky enough to have access to the Forum Club which is the VIP dining area - I can't recommend that enough! The food at the Forum Club was fantastic, real, cooked to order food. I went in expecting sliders and chicken fingers in sterno and found a massive spread including two different hot cook to order entree stations which included many different sides. If VIP tickets are an option, do it.
The venue it's self is really clean and great. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house. I was seated up on the second tier off of state right and had a great view. I did take a chance to walk around a little bit to get a feel for the rest of the venue and concluded I would have been happy in any seat. The acoustics are great, the bathrooms are clean, and it is fair to say the once site of street fights and violence has had a rebirth. Parking at the venue was $20, but if you drive a few blocks further North you will find some well lit neighborhood free parking. I know the area has a bad rap, but I felt fine leaving my car and walking back to it at 1:30am when I left.
Anyone traveling to LA or from the area attending a concert I hope you will report back on your experiences too.
