What's Everyone Doing for 2002?

Have not heard much about Latin Pass progress in 2002. No news about GlobalPass. No idea of the financial stability of the LP airlines. What are people doing? Using mileage on LP Carriers, using mileage on Partner airlines, or moving LP mileage into Hilton? Just wondering.

400,000 miles moved over to Hilton so far. I spent this past year getting diamond status with Hilton. Since getting diamond status it has become pretty easy to use the points and I get upgraded to suites regularly. I am quite happy with the results of the LatinPass run.

Am using 200,000 points to fly my family first class down to Costa Rica over Spring Vacation. I hope to use remaining 50,000 points to either fly to Spain or Guatemala in the fall.

I will use on either USAIR or Hilton did a transfer and it showed as a Delta transfer on LP LP carriers like Taca are doing fine. Aces I bekiele was bought by Avianca, I think LP is doing fine or I hope so. No statement in over a year

Have you all noticed that Taca has web specials now. Some interesting fares from the states to Central and South America. Wish I lived in a gateway city.

MIA-GUA $159 RT! Too bad these fares aren't upgrabable.

Unfortunately, the IAD-SAL flights are not included in the current Web specials.

I am very happy with LP. The folks really pulled through and I will remain loyal. My Transatlantics from the UK to Canada are generally covered by US Air.

On April 1st, my wife and I will be flying to Canada Envoy Class on US Air. I am not sure where my posting will be next year. So far all my options do not include any LP cities (Moscow, Ulan Bator, Stavanger or Bangkok). Although KLM certainly covers a wide area, I have not been successful getting any KLM tickets on LP.
