Is LatinPass correct in limiting us to 250,000 based on confirmation of awards and not requested date. It took me 7 months to get my million posted on January 2. I therefore was unable to use any Marriott opportunities. I requested about 10 tickets, with two children, this isn't a lot. On January 21 I requested these. On Feb 7 they made the 250K cap rule. I had called with no luck for three weeks. Yesterday nothing was available. Today everything cleared. They then said none of my previous requests would be grandfathered because nothing had cleared. In my opinion if I requested awards before the Feb 7 new rule I shouln't be punished. Otherwise they could tell their reservation department to not clear any awards until after the cutoff. I had planned on using about 245K I had requested then use my 250K with the new rule. For a total of close to 500K this year. If they hold me to this eventhough my request was sent in 3 weeks before this rule then this is really unfair. It amazes me they can't clear my tickets for 3 weeks then when I push them all tickets clear in four hours. Had I know this I would have called them daily.

I agree - 250K cap should be started for REQUESTS after the 9th (I think it was announced Feb 9, not 7). Otherwise, someone could have had a transfer that they would not (if they knew about the cap) have done if they needed those miles for a future trip.
