marriott allows 30,000 to get transferred to your choice of their member airlines yielding 10,000 miles. While 10,000 MP = 2000 miles. Needless to say no choice since they broke off with LP. Does Hilton have a similar deal all I found was 10,000 pts = 1500 miles.?

Craz--it seems that once you get them into Hilton, it doesn't make much sense to convert them into some other airline's miles. Just leave them in Hilton, and use their airline awards. For example, once you have converted to Hilton, it would take 130,000 HHonors points to convert over to 25,000 miles (domestic econ. RT). However, it would only take 85,000 HHonors points to claim their domestic RT award from HHonors, on most airlines. Now, there may be other reasons to still transfer, such as topping off miles on some airline accounts, or getting miles for F tickets, etc., but on the plain econ. awards, it would seem the Hilton redemptions are better than transferring them again to another program.
