From InsideFlyer, March 2000, on the subject of restrictions on mileage transfers to Hilton HHonors:

Dear Randy,
Restricting the use of some bonus miles is not at all unusual and makes a lot of sense. Our mistake was not to make that clear from day one and for that, we sincerely apologize. Furthermore, because of the high regard we have for you and your readers and because we do want to be the most "simpatico" frequent traveler program in the industry (we are already one of the most generous), we bow to your words of wisdom and we are hereby lifting the restriction in dispute. We are looking forward to many new LatinPass "Mile-ionaires."
-- Guy Booth, Program Director, LatinPass
Six months later, they announce:

Only one exchange of a maximum of 30,000 LatinPass Promotional Bonus Miles to Hilton HHonors Points will be permitted per month.
Draw your own conclusions.
