Does Qantas show phantom LAN availability?

Does Qantas show phantom LAN availability?
Searching for SCL-IPC-PPT and on Qantas there is quote a lot of business class availability. Trouble is, ba.com doesn't see it, AA phone agents don't see it, Alaska can't see it.
Qantas doesn't allow holds and I'm not willing to transfer around 150,000 miles over for the two tickets if it will just error out in the end. One would assume any Oneworld carrier could see it if truly available.
That said, I can't find any posts at all about Qantas showing phantom LA availability. If ExpertFlyer showed LA award space, I wouldn't have to second guess, but they don't - so I do ;-)
Any suggestions?
