Clubbing: Fastpass and Comps for Highrollers?

Just out of curiousity, is it possible to get comps or fastpass to clubs in Vegas based on your gambling? Obviously, clubs work differently from buffets or does it?

Yes, many pit bosses and hosts will have club passes. I've only tried getting them at Wynn, Venetian, and Bellagio (for tryst, tao, and bank respectively) and at each of those properties, the passes are considered discretionary perks. Discretionary is always nice because since the pit bosses know me, I don't even have to have played that day... just have to stop by and have them fill one out (a real plus for locals).

I have had no problem with the bouncers/vip hosts at the club letting me straight in, except at Tao because they tend to be jerks and love making people wait... and maybe one time at Bank when the doorman wasn't sure about it, but immediately called for someone else who waved me straight in. Just make sure the doorman knows that it is a gambling comp pass, and make sure you're in the right line or area so you don't have to wait unnecessarily or push past too many people. For example, at Tao, don't bother with the guest list or "VIP" lines, just go straight to the table entrance.

Also, be aware that at many properties club passes are not limited to gambling. Some of the gourmet restaurants out there will happily give out club passes to diners, on request.

Oh, I should add that I've never asked for table comps so can't comment on that.

Goosey gives very valuable info.

I would stress that with your pass, go to the bouncer and don't wait in the "VIP" line...the "VIP" line is for the cards that club promoters hand out with the porn slappers on the strip.

Also, as usual, having 1-2 females in tow always makes the bouncer inspect your pass a bit less thoroughly.

Comp admission to clubs is easy, but clubs kind of suck unless you have table service. It's possible for high rollers to get the bill comped, but you'll still be stick for several hundred dollars in tips.

also btw, is there a spending threshold after which you stop tipping ~15%+ for bottle service at clubs?

Recommended tip is $50+ for each bottle. BTW If you are buying bottles, you don't need a casino host to walk you in - just set it up in advance.

Which clubs was OP eyeing?

I'm not the OP but I'd be interested in hearing about XS, Blush, or Tryst.

Some places will force a 20% autograt on you. Also expect to tip security regularly if you don't want to get backroomed and beaten up. Sounds like fun, huh?

Tao restaurant gives you access to the nightclub

K-

My buddy said that when he and his wife ate at Tao the restaurant, they were given comp access to the nightclub by asking their waiter. When I ate there w/ my wife a couple of months later (early '08), we asked our server about going to Tao nightclub. He sent someone else by, she sat down and chatted w/ us for a few minutes (personally I think she just wanted to make sure we weren't butt ugly), and then put stamps on our hands. Pretty simple process. I don't know if this would work when just ordering a drink at the Tao restaurant bar or not, as my wife and I had a full meal.

$50 or more per bottle. Better service = better tip. Remember that the moment your bottle is empty, your server will ignore you.

And Tao is available on OpenTable, a real bonus for us points-hungry FlyerTalkers!

Another place that does the same (and is a 1,000-point place on OpenTable) is CatHouse at the Luxor.
