Bellagio -- King Tower

Has anyone stayed in the King Tower Room? Is it worth the extra $$$ or shall we simply just book a Deluxe?

Thanks for any insight.

I've been upgraded a couple of times to a Tower Deluxe through FHR. The website shows it as 100+/- square feet larger than a standard, but it didn't feel that much larger. Room location is at the end of the hall: a plus for being on a corner and having a window over the tub, but quite a trek from the elevators. The bathroom is somewhat nicer (2 sinks and separate water closet) but in my opinion not worth a premium.

It is a trek, but I really like those rooms, because of the extra windows. Nothing like taking a bath with the room lighted by the Las Vegas strip. And when I was there with my sister and niece in Dec., the extra square footage made a difference when the roll-a-way bed was added. Not sure how much more I would pay for the room, since I got the room twice free when I asked. The toiletries are better, also, than the standard rooms.

I was given an upgrade to this Tower Deluxe room about a year ago, but frankly hardly noticed the extra square footage. I *DID* notice the extra walking to get to and from the casino or the Strip. I didn't think it was really worth it.

Incidentally, I've found checkin at the Bellagio to be much slower than at other hotels, even other hotels owned by MGM Mirage. For example, MGM Grand offers very fast checkin at McCarran Airport and you even get your room keys at the airport. Monte Carlo and TI are also much faster than Bellagio. Luxor is the only one that's worse for checkin.
