First Time Sky loft- any recommandation
Hi,
We, mr & mrs freggy, will be staying at the skyloft at MGM from 06/13 till 06/16. This will be our third time in Vegas, but first time at the skylofts.
The purpose of our trip is our 10th wedding anniversary.
So any recommandation to enjoy the skylofts to the max would be great.
Also I'm wondering if we can count om any good comps, since we're from Europe, and I've read in some threads they only comp is they think you'll come back soon to Vegas.....??

I am not aware of any casino that gives or withholds comps based upon your nationality. So, I don't think being European is a help or a hindrance. Comps are based primarily on how long you gamble, what games you play, and how much money you risk.
For the MGM Grand, or any major strip casino for that matter, you'll need to gamble a minimum of $25US a hand at a Blackjack table to even get rated (i.e. have your play tracked). And, you'd have to do that around 4 hours a day to qualify for any sort of minor comp. (e.g. they might comp a buffet). The amount you have to gamble and how much you can expect in comps varies with the game dependent upon the expected profit the casino is making. For example, roulette is a more profitable game for the casino than blackjack or craps is.
What matters less is whether you win or lose. All you really need to look at is how much you're gambling and duration of play. This is even more true for the slot machines. For slots, all that really matters is how much money you've put through the machine.
Btw, don't play for comps. Only gamble with what you're comfortable risking. Losses due to gambling often far outstrip whatever comps they may award you. That's how the casinos pay the light bill.
