I have to say that what I have seen in Vegas is nothing compared to how Harrahs treats table players in AC.

At Harrahs and Showboat, you can hardly get on a table game. I believe Harrahs only has 1 pit. They want you playing slots.

They haven't strong armed Ballys AC in making changes yet-and I hope it stays that way.

Caesars LV has treated me pretty well.

I play Pai Gow for a decent amount of $$ but its poorly rated.

I will be at Paris LV 3 days this week and report my experiences.

I played at Ballys most recently. They tracked the play correctly (hours and bet), their formula is just a complete ripoff.

Nooooo!!!! Please tell me this isn't true. Harrah's was never known for the quality of its VP, but at least there are (were?) some 9/6 $1 JOB at Caesars. Hope these aren't gone, too.

I hope this buyout goes through and they do something to restore the Caesars Entertainment properties. Both Total Rewards and the lousy customer service are have driven me and a lot of other people away.

TR is definitely pretty sucky in terms of comps, but I've always found the customer service to be excellent.

There are still two of these left.

They must have missed them when sweeping the floor. Don't tell anyone!

Yep...we mostly play tables and learned a long time ago that they didn't like table players. More of what I saw was that they just generally shorted the points compared to what they were giving for the slot machines. Then the people working the total rewards booth don't know how to deal with table player points.

tables

when harrahs purchased the RIO it was 65% tables 35% slots. within one year it was totally reversed and on most nights the high limit lounge sees no action at all

harrahs also rents out all the restaurant space making decent food comps hard to get

they are very generous with their room comps but would prefer that you play slots

Taking the family to meet my folks in LV for their birthdays. Mom & dad have always been loyal to a particular casino host for the past 15+ years following him from the original Sands all over town and now to Harrah's. Dad thinks it's exciting that Rio is part of the mix because of their suites but he has never stayed nor played there. Mom is the slot player--6+ hours a day--so that's why they get all the offers. They couldn't swing two comped or casino rate rooms so they got one casino rate and the other at a slight discount for us. (Of course I would have rather stayed at the Westin :D)

Anyway dad was lamenting that the operator on the phone was not as "on the ball" as their casino host (in the hospital) because she kept spouting stuff about new policies.

jonesing:

Pay no attention to the original booking rate you received from some unknown telephone operator: it is entirely immaterial. Shortly prior to ending your stay, after your play is completed, see your friendly casino host to have your rates changed to comp or casino rate.
