$1 extra for gratuity?

I took a cab from the airport to one of the strip hotels. I noticed that the driver charged me $1 extra in addition to what was displayed on the fare box. Is this a new standard or was I ripped off?

If the cab ride originates at the airport, an additional $1.20 is added to the fare

You probably want to look at this:

(same as the label outside every cab)

The last change I know of was to move $3.00 to $3.20 for a fuel surcharge. The $1.20 McCarran fee has been around for a while. I'm actually surprised there hasn't been a further fuel surcharge, since that 20 cents was over a year ago.
