I'm staying at Bellagio in a few days and have booked a table at Picasso.
One question re: the dress code for the restaurant.
The Website says "business casual", rang reservations and they said a Jacket was "optional, but preferred".

We were going to wear smart trousers, shirt and tie, but taking a jacket over just for one meal sounds like a hassle.

Those who have been, what are the majority of the diners wearing, do most people bother with jackets and what have staff attitudes been if you havn't worn a jacket.

Never been to Picasso but have been to other Bellagio restaurants and they all have the business casual request. I usually wear a polo shirt (any shirt with a collar should be appropriate), khaki pants and casual shoes (not athletic shoes).

I've eaten there twice and most people (maybe 2/3) have a jacket on. However, there were a few people with polo type shirts so if you're comfortable with that, they obviously allow it in the restuarant.

As elegant as you want to make it (no tux!).

The restaurant is fun with a group .. more intimate with just a couple..... HOW you dress in Vegas is not so much how comfortable YOU feel with yourself. I mean jeans and sandels would probably be in poor taste unless you have lots of diamonds around the neck! Bling bling!

I wore jacket and silk shirt (round collar not polo) and was very comfortable ... my business dinner companion wore jacket and Polo dress shirt no tie.

Staff attitudes are most forgiving.. A LOT depends on if you order high priced wines and such .. a large table of 'foreign' travelers with numerous children got GREAT service since the wines were very very flowing to the adults! More tip, more service!!!

Um, at the Bellagio, are you getting a regular room or suite??? Some up-scale rooms (and of course HiRollers) will get the VIP service team that can be most helpful .. I would not go back with them again. I think my 'level of service' (fantastic) was based not on my clothes but that VIP Concierge made the reservation!

Slacks and a collared shirt are sufficient for any restaurant in Las Vegas.

I would wear some type of jacket for a place like Picasso.

For Vegas, when we dine out we usually dress. Exceeeding standards is always preferable to just meeting minimum standards. IMHO.

Given the ambiance of Picasso (elegant and serene) I think a jacket is appropriate. I believe my husband wore a jacket but no tie.
