Question Bally's vs. MGM

Hi,

I stayed at Bally's once and I really liked the hotel. Great room, nice staff.
For my next visit I am not sure which hotel is better, MGM or Bally's.
I've never stayed at the MGM.

I could get the Bally's for $59 per night, the MGM for $89 per night
(including a $35 dining voucher - per stay).

Thanks!
Regards,
gy

Have to admit it was last year, but I stayed at Bally's and found the room to be, simply, one of the worst rooms I have ever had to endure in LAS. Of the two, the MGM is definitely better IMO.

Bally's!

I DEFINITELY wouldn't pay $30.00 more to stay at MGM. The rooms at Bally's are gigantic compared to what you'll get at MGM - particularly if they put you in one of the older sections. Plus it takes like 2 months to walk to your room. Not worth the extra $$$ to me.

MGM has been renovated extensively in the last two years and is now one of the top properties in town with regard to common areas, restaurants, and lounges. Bally's is old but not a bad value for the price and location. No comparison in terms of atmosphere, though.

The MGM is just a classier hotel. Plus, with the certificate for food, it comes out to be almost the same price. If you're interested at all, the pool at MGM is better. There is a river pool.

Just remember the certificate is per stay, not per night so its per-night value decreases the longer you're staying. Having used it before, it's applied to your bill at checkout so make sure you charge any restaurant bills to your room.

Another vote for the MGM. Bally's entire facility is getting old and shabby. At least the MGM is younger compared to Bally's.
