Skydiving
I've always wanted to go skydiving, and last time when I was in Las Vegas, the guys behind me in line for the Stratosphere tower were talking about how much fun it was and what a great view you got on the way down.
I found two places that offer skydiving in the LV area (tandem dives)
http://www.skydivelasvegas.com/
http://www.vegasextremeskydiving.com/
Anyone have any experience with these or other skydiving outlets in the Vegas area?
Is $199 (plus whatever for a video) a decent price for a first dive, from 13-15,000 feet?
Thanks.

Guess it all depends on what you're looking for. I believe Extreme goes a little higher 13 -15,000 & SDLV around 13,000, but for $169 will do a 5,000 if I remember correctly.
SDLV has a slightly better view IMHO, little closer to Lake Mead & Hoover....Extreme is a smidge further away in Jean. Also believe SDLV has a free shuttle from any Vegas hotel, while Extreme does a morning from Boardwalk & an afternoon at Mandalay.
Either way, would go for morning jumps if you going in the summer /early fall.....gets a little toasty in the desert in the afternoons.....not bad when you're dropping, but rough in the gear on the ground.
*Oh, and better hurry if you want to bungy.....just heard AJ Hackett at Circus Circus will be closing shop at the end of July......to reopen in 2006.....somewhere?
