Anyone been in March?

Went last year end of Sept/October, want to go again this yr the sametime for 10 days (same as before) but flights are expensive from the UK so it is looking more like March now as it's hot and I can get cheaper flights. Are hotel prices pretty cheap around then as well?

March is a very busy month in Las Vegas. First, there are the hordes of sports fans who descend on the sportsbooks to place bets on the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament aka "March Madness." Second, the weather is great so a lot of snowbirds fly in. Third, it is a popular convention month. I would definitely price hotels before I made any nonrefundable air arrangements.

Agree...One of the trade shows I go in for in March takes up something like 40% of the rooms in Vegas, and they're all booked well in advance. There are other shows that month that also suck up a lot of the rooms. Throw in March Madness and the general vacationers escaping the cold, and there are definitely better months to go there.

I would hardly call March a "hot" month in Vegas...Come with me in August when I'm there for 8 days...I'll show ya' hot!

I would hate to discourage you from going in March... I think that's a great time to visit, especially for those from the UK. I would just suggest shopping around for the right dates so you don't find yourself facing soldout hotels and outrageous nightly rates.
