Has anyone noticed that the Wynn site is not accepting any promo codes today? I can't log into my redcard account either...

Kust checked now and it appears to be working fine again. They added a new offer on my account but took away the others

Just upgraded my room to a Salon Suite on my reservations about 3 months ahead of my stay. They gave me a discounted rate and comp'd a night of my stay (3 nights). Pretty sweet deal for never even staying at the Wynn before.
Is there any suite better than the Salon Suite? I see that there is a Fairway Villa but I really wouldn't want that because there is no view of the strip from high up (plus I heard its for high rollers anyway).
Another question... I heard that staying in the Tower Suites will give you an automatic line pass for the buffet. How does that work? Just show them your room key?

Frankly, I'd rather go for a Fairway, as they're more private and quiet. No high view as you said, but you also don't have to deal with sound from the clubs either. I've been told the bass line from Surrender can be heard/felt all the way up the tower. Ugh.

Fairways, at least the upper levels, are nowhere near 'high roller' suites. They're just larger one and two bedroom suites with golf course views and large, sometime wraparound balconies (w/ misting systems and are nice for sun bathing). Anyone can book them if they're open. I like the ground level Fairways, as they have small private pools, but those are rooms you have to be rated or invited into. It's a longer walk to these rooms, which is a negative for some.

I think a week or two before I arrive I'll call and see what the pricing is to get into a Villa. If it's a decently priced upgrade then maybe I'll consider it, otherwise I'll stick with a Salon Suite. Since it's my wife's first time to Vegas, a Salon suite with a view might be a better "Vegas experience" instead of the apartment-like villas, which are more private and secluded with views of a golf course.

From the little I have experienced personally, I must say, the Encore Apartments (2 bedroom) are quite swanky; and most definitely have awesome views. ^

The Fairway Villas are most definitely high-roller suites, as are the Encore Apartments and Salon Suites. The linens are upgraded in the villas and apartments and you have a steam shower and a kitchen; otherwise it feels very similar. The Fairway Villas are quite a hike from anything else you want to do in the hotel, but there's a cool private entrance to the pool.
Noise from Surrender is a problem on all the low floors of Encore.

What rate did you get? Did you just ask for the best rate or did they just offer you a bargin?

Hi guys,
im heading to vegas this weekend and booked the wynn but only resort king although my preference is tower suites...so question...can i check in at tower suites entrance and try to get an upgrade there? From the sound of things I dont particularly want to check in over at the "zoo" side, especially this weekend being superbowl weekend and all..

I've checked in in both places, but by walking to the check-in areas, not driving up to the Tower Suites lobby.
My upgrade experience was worse when using the Tower Suites check-in, while I was able to get very marginal upgrades from the regular area - but never anything of any substance either way.
I've come to expect nothing from the Wynn in terms of room upgrades - but I don't mind since their regular rooms are so spectacular, I don't really need anything better than that.

Meaning: If you are the only person in the tower suites check-in area, I doubt you'll have a problem.. However, if there's 5 (presumed) tower suite guests waiting to check-in behind you, they will probably send you off to the resort check-in.
