Thanks for all of the great insight! Does anyone have more specifics on what us low-rollers can do at table games? I don't expect to get a free room, but wouldn't a meal or a little attention every once in a while. I generally play $10 craps for a few hours each day off of a few hundred dollar stake (which means I probably have $30 - $70 in play at any time) and wouldn't mind a little bit of love every once in a while. I will be at MGM this weekend.</font>
At the MGM, you're probably only going to be able to get some meals comped at the level. They won't rate play under $25, and I don't think they count odds bets in craps (zero house edge). If your play is going to be above that $25 average bet, give them your card and get rated. If you eat, charge everything to your room. At your level, they'll probably pick up a few buffets or something at check-out (ask the front desk person to talk to casino marketing, or stop by the casino host desk before check-out).

Otherwise, after playing one session on the table and getting rated, stop by the casino host desk (next to the casino cage) and have them look up your account to see how you were rated. Tell them how many hours per day you expect to play like that, and they'll probably give you a good idea of what to expect.

Well, it's been just shy of three months since I first asked this question, and I'm still without host.

On my last trip between taking money from the tables and dumping it in my safe deposit box and guiding some first time visitors around the city, I didn't have time to (or think of) seeing a host until the day I was leaving. Then I basically had to run out of the hotel to catch my flight.

Anyway, I figured I'd try bumping this thread up again....

Anyone have a good table games host at the MGM for me?
