Doing something new

My Folks and I are staying in Kingsberry NV at the Ridge Tahoe. I have a work obligation on Sunday in Santa Clara so my original plan was to take Amtrak on Saturday at 2:15 PM from SLT Transit Center arriving at 10 PM.

Then I got the genius idea because my work vacations are once a month and I get a week off I wanted to spend time with my Folks at our Timeshare and two nights alone for my 41st.

With my Southwest voucher I booked a flight RNO to LAS . I also booked the SLT Airporter for $33 from Ballys for my 3:50 PM Flight arriving at 5:20ish im Vegas..

The Hotels were around $200-$400 so I found a legitimate AirBnB Hotel at $150 at the Renaissance Las Vegas near the Convention center and confirmed my Bonvoy Gold Elite Status which covers Wifi and other amenities. They confirmed that it's a legit booking. I chose the Book now and Pay Later while I researched it with Hotel Management and added my requests.

I have a 1:55 PM fight the next Day so plenty of time to swim, have dinner, clubbing and fun. If I get back ar 2 AM I can still sleep.

At Reno I will go to the Escape Lounge and AMEX at LAS. I am not checking bags.

I am planning on enjoying seeing all of the hotels and I have a Monorail Day Pass as well.

Back in Santa Clara I have a Suite at the Raddisson Sunnyvale with Breakfast and a pool.

It will be a relaxing two days before my work engagement in the late morning or early afternoon depending on when I am needed its a fundraiser Gala for a non profit .

I see people on this Forum Club it in Atlanta.

I don't want a big Casino on a short layover. That was my top priority as you waste time navigating it. I will switch hotels for different vibes on a long trip .I am a Vegas veteran with many nights under my belt. I know the Strip and Downtown well as well as the Monorail and Deuce. My Family has a long time Vegas History that I am proud of. Vegas is one of my favorite destinations. Disneyland is tol expensive.

I would not do a short less than 24 hour Vegas trip if I was new. I have done 10 day trios, 5 day.trips during F1

For me a shorter trip is just the same adrenaline rush as a 10 day trip. I can cover a lot of territory. I already know I want to see the Bellagio Conservatory for instance. Dinner at a locals spot. I love the Peppermill ,Ellis Island,Palms, Southpoint.

I have a Cousin in Vegas and we may get dinner.
