Sphere

over the weekend I was in Vegas and went to see the Eagles at the Sphere.

the visuals makes it much more than the concert itself. If the performer is talking on stage they will have a large image on the sphere screen making binoculars unnecessary

the sound system is set up acoustically so you can hear the concert well from anywhere in the place

there are 4 entry doors. 3 are at the ground level. And an elevated level

the south ground entry ( Plaza entry) are for all levels 100-400

the other 2 ground entry ( east and west) are for floor level only.

the bridge entry comes from the Venetian and Sands expo/ convention center to the west onto the 2nd level iirc

the bridge then connects to the Venetian and to other casinos.

it would be nice if they had a monorail station right there since it goes right by it.

inside you have typical food and bars.

Data points:

Mrs Willie & I saw U2 live at The Sphere, tremendous experience with the graphics/vid capability of The Sphere.

We had four friends who recently went to see the U2 film at The Sphere, footage was taken from a show at The Sphere. All our friends came away saying they loved it, they were very happy they saw it.

So even if you can't get to see a band/performance you want, stay on the lookout to see if a film will be shown at The Sphere.

Same friends who came last year visited us again. This year they saw Wizard of Oz at the Sphere. They said it was good, just not $160 per person good.

We drove by last night, a set of wicked witch legs are sticking out from under the Sphere 😃

Thanks to the CSR StubHub credit, we got tickets to see the Eagles on Friday evening and the show did not disappoint. This was my first concert at the Sphere and while we were in the 400 section, the graphics and sound were still incredible. It was an easy walk to the Sphere from the Venetian and then an easy walk to the bus on the way back to the Rio. If you get a chance, a show at the Sphere won't disappoint!
