Circus Circus Steakhouse
I tried a search but wasn't successful so mods please move this if necessary.
Has anyone been to the steakhouse at Circus Circus lately (or ever?)? I have always heard great things and it has decent yelp reviews but I have stuck in my mind what a dump Circus Circus is in general. Could this place really be such a hidden gem?

I have! Though, it had been many many years ago prior to the pandemic, it's a great classic steakhouse and probably top 5 in all of LV, in my view. It's fantastic and I'd probably go here more if it were easier to get to from MGM properties.
If you have a chance, you should definitely try it! And, at least back then, it was quite reasonably priced for Vegas standards.

It seems that $80 and up is standard pricing for steaks in Vegas. Just the steak...you can pay an additional $25 for a side dish. My friend wants to go to Gordon Ramsey Steak but I can't get past the prices.

Yeah, $80 & $20 sides are standard now and I think it's way overpriced. Their steaks are all good, but it really isn't any better than, say, the good steakhouses in Chicago or NYC.

Hidden gem is a good description. Ive not been since right before the pandemic but the atmosphere is very old school, dimly lit with red leather booths. The food was great and service was as well. To me, the fact that the rest of the property is such a dump adds to the restaurants charm but YMMV.
I did have a friend go on my recommendation early summer - checked with him and he said some cuts were pushing $100 but that includes sides so still a good (relative) value.

Yup the actual Casino / public areas are pretty, shall we say, mediocre. Don't let that put you off!

I am so intrigued. I have taken the kids to Circus Circus a number of times for the games, and the place is more or less a dump, but I'd certainly be willing to give this restaurant a try!

It's really a fabulous old world steak house, not some of that goofy celebrity steakhouse stuff. Whenever I take folks there, I always have to assure them when I see the sparkle of concern in their eyes upon hearing Circus Circus. After this thread, I'm determined to dine here the next time I'm in Sin City.

I went as a solo diner last year and very much enjoyed my meal. It was a little alarming to walk through the casino (thinking "did I make a mistake and is it too late to cancel") but once inside the restaurant, you feel the steakhouse vibe and not the Circus Circus vibe.
Very attentive service, friendly but not chummy. Bread was tasty, especially the pretzel roll. I had a wedge salad along with a new york strip steak (can't remember the sides). Too full for dessert. Highly recommend this place.
