My best rolling streak included one roll where I "accidentally" (I swear) bounced the dice off the table right down the front of just such a person's blouse. Needless to say, it was quite a scrum between the dealers to retrieve and inspect the dice before resuming the game.

^ I stand corrected!

I was once at a BJ table when said woman walked by. All of us turned and stared (This was, of course, in my much younger and more immature days.). Without missing a beat, the dealer said, "Yeah, there's a lot of man-made objects here in Las Vegas." I'm still wondering if that woman had a partner scooping up all of our chips during the, um, "distraction."

Now, what was this thread about?

As others have noted, most of the larger casinos have craps instruction. Another option is to pick a time when casino traffic is light and just ask the stickman to explain the game. I did this the first few times I played. They not only were patient and helpful, they provided some good tips and hints, e.g. "Are you sure you want to place that bet?"

You got a good stickman there. Of course, they know that if they help you, the tips get better, but it's worth it to save a few bucks.

^ this too. The miniscule advantage of the don't just isn't worth the lack of fun for a new player. I've won more money, but I've never had more FUN than playing pass line at a busy craps table that had a big hot streak.
The trick is being there on that hot streak. I will be in Vegas 9/5 to 9/8 and am happy to help any novice who wants it. Craps can be a great game. Staying at Paris (my plan is to stay at every casino in LAS)

Now what is the coldest table you have ever been at. Mine is 38 shooters in 90mins.
