Las Vegas - Tips, Information, and Everything Else
Updated the old thread
Hotel Promo Codes
http://www.mycheapvegas.com/
Tip #1: Most hotel reservations are 100% refundable as long as you refund 48-72 hours prior to arrival. Book the cheapest you can find and rebook if needed.
Tip #2: Some promos give you stuff like resort credits, dining credits, free buffets etc. Most of them require a 2 night min stay. If you are staying 4 nights or longer, you can max this out by booking 2 separate reservations under different names to get twice the bonus. You can combine reservations when you check in.
Hotwire (hotels unknown until you book but can usually be identified)

Priceline (you bid for hotels, and unknown until bid is accepted, can narrow down choices to zones)

Additionally, there are a few discount airlines not on these comparison websites. Pls let me know if I'm missing something so I can add it.

$20 Trick - Free Hotel Upgrade
http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/trav...ussion/529706/
For those who don't know what this is, basically a bribe to get a free upgrade on your room. When you check in, you place a $20 between your id and credit card, or in your passport and casually ask them for an upgrade. If they can do it, they'll accept the money, if they can't, 99% of the time they will return your money. It's better to know what you want. The thread above gives more details and successes.

Not a real expert on the cheap eats, but I can give you my higher end recommendations:
Nove Italiano at Palms
Joe's Stone Crab at Forum Shops
The Palm at Forum Shops
Il Mulino at Forum Shops
Del Frisco's slightly off strip
Cut at Grand Canal Shops
Olives at Bellagio
Might as well throw in best place to have a cigar and mojito - Casa Fuente at Forum Shops

Good advice on the refund-ability of the universal first-night required deposit - the key is to carefully read the small print (terms and conditions) - the cancellation deadline will be listed there.
Same goes for the promos with bonus features - the small print will list such restrictions as which property restaurants and bars the dining and drink credits can and cannot be used at, whether a feature is per day or once per stay, etc.
For budget eats buffet edition, the Orleans buffet offers decent food and good value.
Same goes for the promos with bonus features - the small print will list such restrictions as which property restaurants and bars the dining and drink credits can and cannot be used at, whether a feature is per day or once per stay, etc.

Speaking of the Orleans, they have a new steak and lobster combo right now as long as you have a bconnected card which is free to sign up.

I've always found that security and everything in Vegas are pretty fast and efficient. I've been there during peak times and dead times, always about the same to me. They open more check point as needed.

I can't say that I agree. Efficient yet, fast and always the same, no. Sunday departures are miserable.
