Outdoor gun range
I have been to the Gun Store in Vegas and whilst I enjoyed it, I would like to know if there is an outdoor firing range within a moderate taxi ride of the strip?

The zero point is a bit north of Charleston and Decatur is 3 miles west of the strip. Thus this is about 13 miles from downtown, by the time you're down to the south end of the strip it's about 19 miles.
I don't know if you class this as a "moderate" taxi ride or not.
My understanding is that parts of it are open at this point but it's not something I have kept track of.

Again (Sorry!) I don't know if you are looking for a "rental" experience (which I would think unlikely if you want "tactical") or somewhere to use your OWN gear..
The "USPSA" looks after what the rest of the world calls IPSC (International Practical Shooting Confederation) type matches.. and there are plenty of clubs in both AZ and NV.... their website is quite comprehensive with contact details etc...
Hell of a lot of fun.. even Down Under where we are restricted to 9mm/38 Super/357 Sig etc...

i could also make training recommendations.
not interested in comp (like 2 gun) although it may be the only option 99% of the time.
its just that after one does tactical training, its hard to go to a static range..
(again, just thought id check for vegas, since someone else started the thread.
