I wrote PH off when they left Starwood. There is really nothing special about the property outside of its location. MGM brings a lot more for the $$$.

If you're with a large group of people, they're one of the best deals on(ish) the strip. I had a 2 bedroom there with 7 friends for my bachelor party. It had 2 king beds, 2 pull out beds, and a couch, so there was room for all to sleep. It was around $250 a night.
The rooms were very nice, with a huge projection TV in the family room, a full kitchen (no oven), and lots of TVs everywhere. The bathrooms were nice and large, and there was a huge bath tub / quasi hot tub thing.
Overall, a good value, but like said above, it doesn't really have the "soul" of Vegas that other places closer do. It is somewhat segregated, but attached directly to the mall at PH. It's about a 8 minute walk to the casino floor.
