Anyone stayed at the PH Towers?

I just booked at MGM (see my other thread) but PH Towers are running a special and it amounts to about the same price. I've read mixed review so far...

I wrote PH off when they left Starwood. There is really nothing special about the property outside of its location. MGM brings a lot more for the $$$.

Towers are separate. I thought the rooms were nice. Separate pool and check-in too, so no lines, and connects directly to parking garage on a different floor, so can actually park close to the hotel. I stayed there 2 weeks for work, so that part was nice.

I just threw some of the room photos on picasa -- http://picasaweb.google.com/acassidy/Ph# -- 2 separate stays/rooms in the album.

You won't feel the Vegas soul in PH. I would prefer MGM.

If you're with a large group of people, they're one of the best deals on(ish) the strip. I had a 2 bedroom there with 7 friends for my bachelor party. It had 2 king beds, 2 pull out beds, and a couch, so there was room for all to sleep. It was around $250 a night.

The rooms were very nice, with a huge projection TV in the family room, a full kitchen (no oven), and lots of TVs everywhere. The bathrooms were nice and large, and there was a huge bath tub / quasi hot tub thing.

Overall, a good value, but like said above, it doesn't really have the "soul" of Vegas that other places closer do. It is somewhat segregated, but attached directly to the mall at PH. It's about a 8 minute walk to the casino floor.
