Completion of new config.
Does anyone know when will KE complete their product update of new seats and AVOD? I just don't get it......why do they keep expanding with adding lots of long haul routes while they update their product?! It'll take ages to complete the whole update now.......................Wonder when will YVR (my home) get the new product...
Also, are they updating short haul routes as well?

KE's initial plan - done by 2008 - was screwed up by 380's delay. Now they say it will be done by 2009, but only 772ER and 744 will be upgraded. They won't work on 332 and 333 even though some of those are used for long haul. Nor 773 non-ER although it is used for medium-long haul, and usually overnight (BKK,SIN-ICN). Now I can find that new config 772 will run on
June 07: SFO (772, old config on Sunday)
Jul, Aug 07: LAS (SFO will be run by old config 747 at this time)
Sep~ 07: both SFO and LAS
No idea about Canadian routes, sorry.

gosh they suck in updating!!!!!!!!!
actually in order to be "a global airline", they should really upgrade all aircraft!
so i guess only 772, 744, 773ER, 787 and A380 will feature the new product.....am i right?

Korean Air still falls short on the standards that are offered from the leading global airlines such as Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific. The updating of their products is again only reserved for the long-haul aircraft, like the two leading airlines.
Don't really expect the Canadian routes to have the upgrade until the end of the product overhaul.

Well, KE is doing relatively decent job at updating their aircraft. For UA, if they were to update their seats, after their introduction of new seats, it will take forever... more like four to five years to complete the update.
