772 Seat Remodel?

Any chance KE will be changing it's 772 from Kosmo 1 to Kosmo 2? Or will it be planning to retire it's old 772s

Nope. Kosmo 1 (older product) is actually newer 772 and they will be one by one sent to Jin Air. So far 4 have been sent (manufactured in 2005-07), leaving 5 (07-08). They are exclusively used for short hauls. Long/medium distance flights are run by newer product / older 772 which are dated 1997-2003.

Sounds like the 789 is replacing all 772s?

Just hoping for some better equipment out of IAH.

IAH is always a newer version but if you meant the newest one (same as 748 and some 77W), that won't happen. As long as basic needs are met such as being full flat, KE 'never' updates.

789 has the lowest premium seating ratio. It will be used on tourist heavy or VFR oriented routes such as Spain, Canada, and possibly AU/NZ, FCO.

Darn, yes was hoping KE would change its seat out. Idk flying on the 772 every time, I feel like it's really banged and scratched up.

Depending on how yield and LF goes, KE may upgrade to 77W or 748. Although oil price must go up for that to happen (which Houston area economy relies on).
