Award ticket rules

I looked up SkyPass award rules but still not sure about:

1. Can partner award be changed once the travel started?
2. How many stopovers are allowed?
Blogs state - 2, but reading SkyPass states 1 with 2 transfers. What is a transfer?

I believe Korean calls connections transfers. Don't know about changing once travel has started.
