Seat assignment question
Hi everyone,
I have an upcoming trip in KE to NAN in Y from Europe - it's gonna be my first time on Korean, so please bear with me if my questions may sound rather dumb...
So I called them today to get seat assignments (30 days out for the outbound, around 50 days out for the return) and only got offered seats rather far in the back of the plane - does KE reserve seats for Elites or have I just been unlucky? If they do reserve, do I have access as a Skyteam Elite Plus member with Flying Blue?
One thing that also was a bit strange - when I asked the agent to add my FF number, he said my status was shown as "Skyteam Elite" instead of Elite Plus - might have to do with the fact that I only became Gold a few days ago, so maybe the reservation systems have not all been updated yet (status shows correct on the AF/KLM home page, though).

I believe Korean must block forward part of cabins for Elites. I phoned this morning (30 days out) to obtain seats for ATL-ICN-DXB flights and was offered seats in rear of Business cabin for myself and traveling companion. Agent insisted there were no seats available in forward of cabin, even though Expertflyer showed availability (I phoned twice, got same agent and same answer twice). Your posting prompted me to phone Korean again this evening, explan to agent that we were both Delta Diamond, so therefore Skyteam Elite Plus and low and behold, we were moved to my requested seats in the forward cabin of Business Class.
Thank you for your posting.
