North Korea
A buddy of mine from Hong Kong said he had two friends of Swiss citizenship that made it (legally) to North Korea. Has anyone heard of this?

Anybody (well, except if they're South Korean or American) can go to North Korea if they want to join a group tour and pay through the nose. Here's one operator:

Im an American, but i might be in-line for Italian dual citizenship, once i find out if my grandpa was a citizen when my mom was born.

I bet i'd get in serious trouble if i went to NK with my Italian passport but my true citizenship was uncovered.

I dont think i should even talk about it anymore in "public".

Not necessarily. Americans are granted tourist visas sometimes, including last year for the Arirang festival.

Thanks for the info ^ I'm an East Asia Studies student, and I've always felt a little odd writing about a country that I have not visited. The timing of the DPRK activity is interesting for me, because my area focus this term is the Koreas. Although I'm about 14 books and three dozen papers deep on North Korea, it would be nice to be on the ground (although I recognize that I would probably get a sanitized view). The most important thing for me is that I make a visit that is 100% sanctioned by the State Department with absolutely no funny business involved.
