Best Priority Pass Lounge at ICN

Hi,

I'm travelling to Seoul for the first time on CX, and would like to know which is the best Priority Pass lounge to use in terms of food, amenities, etc.

Options available:

Concourse A
1. KAL Lounge
2. Asiana Lounge

Main Terminal
1. Matina
2. Asiana Business Lounge
3. Sky Hub Lounge

Thanks in advance!

Probably KAL in Concourse. Flying CX you'll be over there anyway. OZ has limited food.

Don't expect much from the CX KAL lounge but it'll do for a quick Drink or bite.

CX Lounge ≠ KAL.

Unless the quality has dipped in 2 years, I rather liked the Concourse KAL Lounge. Food was significantly better than OZ.

I was thinking of this one. Yes, they are different. My fault.

The KE business class lounge (KAL?) in the main terminal is much better than the KE business class lounge in the satellite terminal.

I would recommend that you read the reviews at http://loungereview.com/lounges/airport/ICN/ in order to form an opinion.

A key point to keep in mind is that you cannot get to Concourse A unless your flight actually departs from there (or, to be more specific, you can, but then you won't be able to come back to the main terminal and will have to request an escort - don't do it.) So this may effectively reduce your options.

The most generous buffet is at the SkyHub lounges, followed by the Matina lounges. The latter are technically the executive lounge within the airport's transit hotels.

Food aside, the Asiana club in the main terminal is the most beautiful lounge. The Asiana lounge in Concourse A does not have windows. The KAL club in Concourse A is... interesting. The design can be an acquired taste.

I'd grab food at one of the SkyHub lounges prior to heading to the Asian club in the main terminal.

Not sure which seats you tried, but those big blue blocks of cushion foam were extremely comfortable. It just wraps around you but with enough support to keep you on the chair.

So Matina has decent food, and Skyhub better. But Skyhub is not across from Gate 11, as described on many websites including Prioritypass. It is at the transit hotel location.

Didn't get to try the west wing Matina lounge since they were closed to capacity. However the Sky Hub lounge was still taking folks and their food was great.

The Asiana lounges are the best by far in terms of ambience, services and comfort. Sky Hub lounges have decent buffets.

Priority Pass Lounge at ICN when flying on Korean Airlines

Hi, I'll be departing ICN airport on Korean Airlines headed to SFO. (KE 23)

Since it seems this flight departs from Terminal 2, (I assume it departs from the same terminal daily), that leaves me with the following lounges:
  • Lounge L
    Terminal 2
  • Matina
    Terminal 2
  • SPC Lounge
    Terminal 2

Here is the complete list at ICN:
https://www.prioritypass.com/en/loun...d-39b8b8abddb5

There are 4 of us (2 adults, 2 young children), so more interested in a comfortable place to relax and eat before we board

None of us drink alcohol, so alcohol selection is not an issue. Important things are proximity do departure gate (since we have young kids), and food/non-alcoholic beverage selection

And of course, our chance of getting in if there are any capacity control restrictions on PP holders (our flight departs on a Sunday at 4pm).

I am the only PP card holder and apparently have up to 10 visits/year through my Amex Hilton Ascend card. PP confirmed when I called them I can use visits for guests at the same time, so that should cover me and my family.

Thanks.

Of those three, I've only been to the SPC Lounge (and the KE J Lounge, which isn't PP...but you're not missing anything) and can recommend it. Is a little small and can get loud when crowded, but it had a good selection of food - everything from udon to ice cream. There's also a more public lounge area and a sleeping area next door.

4 PM is also the afternoon bank of flights to SE Asia, and when passengers from Europe and America all arrive for connections...so it will be a busy time.

These are some recent Korean blogs with video and pictures:
