Go to Dongdaemun for the late night shopping (it goes to 4am). There are a couple of malls full of shopping stalls and lots of things come out to the street on racks. Every hour something different is going on. It's mostly hip young folk stuff but also socks and underthings. People are out cooking throughout the evening and sometimes you will see k-pop bands entertaining to keep the shopping buzz alive.

I think March is a good time in Korea. Flowers start to bloom. Be sure and bring allergy meds if needed.
Things to do? Tons! I put together a map of some short walking tours anyone can do. This was for the British Airways FT members who came last December. But of course it is free for anyone to use and explore. Walking Tour Maps
Also Try Korea House

Eat some cucumber kimchi if you get the chance - yummy!
If you have blonde hair, get prepared for people wanting to take their picture with you. It is all good.
