looking for planes for KLM operated flight
Hi looking for the type aircraft operated for NW FLT 8622 ATL-AMS, and NW FLT 8481 AMS-JRO. It says it is a KLM Operated Flight. We have purchase tickets but have no seats. Looking to see if there are any BC seats we do not want. Thanks, Mike

ATL-AMS Airbus 330-200
AMS-JRO Boeing 777-200
As you did not provide specific dates I just post the regularly schedule frame.
Both are nice planes.

If its the 10th and 22 of May, then from ATL-AMS (KL0622) is an Airbus A330-200. On May 11, AMS-JRO (KL0569) is an MD-11. On May 22 from JRO-AMS (KL0569) is an MD-11 and AMS-ATL (KL0621) on May 23 is an Airbus A330-200. Normally the route from AMS-ATL is an Airbus A330-200. The route from AMS-JRO is operated with an MD-11 till May 30. Beginning May 31, it will revert back to the Boeing 777-200ER and Boeing 777-300ER mix. Both the A330-200 and the MD-11 are nice planes.

The MD11 offers the best KL business class cabin by far, and the 777 the worst, so count your blessings.
I personally prefer row 1, and if you are two traveling together, would go for 1GJ or 1AB on the dayflight to JRO (with a bit of luck 1J should afford excellent views of the sun setting over the Sahara as you fly south along the Nile), and 1DF on the night flight back (direct aisle access from both seats).

Mike,
Seat Guru is not too accurate when it comes to the information about the KL 330-200, which will operate the AMS-ATL v.v legs.
There is no more space for row 1 AB/HJ, in fact there is less space and if you are taller than ~ 6.1 you cannot fully stretch out, because your feet will hit the bulkhead. The last row ( 7 ) is not at all more affected by light or noise from the galley or Y cabin, so I would recommend to get those seats.
IIRC, 3 AB will be blocked for the crew on KL's longer flights, ATL among them.

So for an A332 flight you would recommend row 7 over row 1?
I have a flight coming up YYZ-AMS, apart from 3AB, 6AB, the cabin is wide open. Its a night flight, so obviously would like the most quiet seat.
